Micreos Food Safety develops natural phage products against dangerous bacteria in the food chain and is viewed as product leader in this field.
PhageGuard is a new website for Micreos Food Safety: www.PhageGuard.com. Listex will be renamed PhageGuard Listex. Salmonelex will be renamed PhageGuard S. There will be no changes to the products, only the names will change.
Our new product brand name change will better reflect the benefits and values that our phages bring to the world of food safety. It gives us a more accurate platform to communicate with our customers and the public that phages are a natural, organic way to safe guard food. It's the 'Power of Nature' at work.
PhageGuard products contribute to safer food production by making use of phages, the natural enemy of bacteria. PhageGuard Listex and PhageGuard S are specifically targeted to kill Listeria and Salmonella, leaving the desirable bacteria intact. They are smart, green and easy to apply on food via spray, mist or dip. They can also be used directly on food contact surfaces to prevent cross contamination or in the processing environment to address hot spots and biofilms.
PhageGuard products are cutting edge food safety tools for cooked meat, poultry, fish, dairy, cheese, produce and more. PhageGuard kills pathogenic bacteria without becoming an ingredient itself. They have no effect on taste, color, texture or odor of the final product. Approved as a processing aid, phages do not require labelling.
PhageGuard also provides a technology platform as an alternative to antibiotics, thereby reducing the infection risk of multi-resistance bacteria transfer from animals to humans.
We firmly believe that nature itself provides the solutions for modern day challenges. PhageGuard is the result of that belief: an effective organic solution to make food safer. Our approach is science driven and in close collaboration with our customers and our worldwide network of research partners. Best of all, PhageGuard contributes to a better world: safer products, healthier animals and happier consumers.
